Government 'will not intervene further' in postal strike

The UK government has rejected calls to further intervene in the ongoing dispute involving Royal Mail, it has been revealed.
According to reports by Personnel Today, the country's employment relations minister Pat McFadden has confirmed that a resolution to the dispute should be found by the Royal Mail management and union heads.
Indeed, further industrial action has been confirmed by the Communication Workers Union (CWU).
"The government put up about £2 billion in finance to support the pension fund," said Mr McFadden to the news provider.
"It is then for management and unions to negotiate on issues of pension, pay and flexibility," he added.
The general secretary of the CWU has criticised the government for not taking action to end the dispute.
Royal Mail was established in 1660.
