Edinburgh is 'best location for accountancy firms'

Edinburgh is the best city in the UK for the running an accountancy firm, it has been claimed.According to comments made by Portman Travel, compared with other locations such as Glasgow, Birmingham and London, Scotland's capital city is a superior choice as a result of the skills possessed by the local workforce.
The city's infrastructure for transportation and other attractive features were also decisive factors.
Among the other contenders for the title - out of a total of 65 of the UK's largest cities and towns - were Colchester, Oldham, Cardiff, Sutton Coldfield and Norwich.
Portman Travel is a specialist in business travel management.
"Portman is a founding shareholder of Radius, a global network of travel management specialists operating in 80 countries," said the organisation.
"The Radius network [is] the world's largest travel company," it added.
