Recruitment process 'should be multi-faceted'

Adopting robust and multi-faceted recruitment methods can help employers successfully choose candidates who fit well within the organisation, it has been suggested.
Employers looking for people to fill their vacancies for finance jobs could use a comprehensive approach which incorporates interviews, testing and various tasks, Dr Tim Barnett of the Charles Fellowes Group writes on Onrec.com.
He suggests that employers invest the time and money to incorporate an introduction to the firm, capability testing, psychometric tests and a research task - in addition to an interview - during the recruitment process.
"The people who work with you or for you are an investment," Mr Barnett states.
"To make the right choices you have to put the time and effort into making the selection process as rigorous as time and budget constraints will allow."
It was recently claimed by Orange Business Solutions that employers may consider offering flexible benefits to attract jobseekers.
