'More jobs' advertised in August

The number of recruitment opportunities which were posted online increased last month, new data reveals.
August's Monster Employment Index UK - a monthly report which compiles and analyses online job demand across the country - rose by two points during the month.
Within this increase, the category which reflects accounting jobs, auditing jobs and tax jobs rose by two points to its highest level since March.
The overall figures represent a 30 per cent rise on the same period in 2006.
Alan Townsend, chief operating officer of Monster UK and Ireland, said that findings were "encouraging" against "the backdrop of the sub-prime mortgage issue and credit crunch".
"The full repercussions have not been felt yet but the index has shown strong growth so far this year and looks to build on this trend throughout the rest of 2007," he added.
An Institute of Education study recently found that accountancy graduates earn 40 per cent more than those with arts degrees.
