Ernst & Young uses Facebook to recruit

13 August 2007 17:57

Ernst & Young is joining the social networking revolution by using the popular site Facebook as part of its recruitment strategy.

The firm has its own sponsored page on the site, where graduates are able to sign up and find out more about working for Ernst & Young.

Richard Jordan, head of employer brand at Ernst & Young, told People Management magazine: "We are always trying to have a conversation with people about what it’s like to work here.

"We advertise in the press and have our own website - we see using Facebook as simply another extension of what we've always done. If this is the way that people are choosing to access information these days, then this is another way we've got to give it to them."

So far, Ernst & Young has managed to attract about 16,000 members from 140 countries, which includes both current and aspiring employees.
