Changes to healthcare plans for accountants not 'spying'

Deloitte is considering changes to its healthcare plan, which will see staff getting access to health advice and guidance when they fall ill, according to AccountancyAge.com.
Deloitte already has a programme in place that enables employees to access telephone support for bereavements, personal and work related problems.
However, sceptics are arguing that these changes to the healthcare plans will provide a means for the firm to spy on its employees.
The firm insists that the intention is purely that its workers have faster access to specialist healthcare.
Neil McKie, head of reward at Deloitte, said: "This is not designed to check up on the employees. We just want to give them the best care that we can in the quickest possible time frame so that they can get better."
