ACA students complete professional stage

Business students are no doubt celebrating the fact that many of them are now newly-qualified associate chartered accountants (ACAs).
Pass rates for the professional stage exams were all above 74 per cent and the highest pass results were seen in business finance (83 per cent) and taxation (81 per cent).
It means that graduates can now apply for a range of accountancy jobs in Britain and abroad, where more than 140 countries recognise the ACA qualification.
Institute of Chartered Accountant executive director Dr Raymond Madden said: "The ACA qualification has a worldwide reputation for quality.
"In recent years we have seen more of our UK qualified members going to work internationally, taking world-class knowledge, skills and ethical standards to the global market."
He went on to say that ACA students are in high demand in China and other evolving economies.
In fact, students can extend their ACA qualification by attending a special 24-month course that qualifies them to become members of the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
