Two accountancy firms in East Anglia are to become reunited through the process of acquisition, it has emerged.
According to reports by the Eastern Daily Press, Sexty & Co in Norwich is to acquire BG Postle & Co.
Sexty & Co was established in 1924 and at present, the two firms are currently located in the same building.
The joining of the two firms has been prompted by the retirement of Barry Cox of BG Postle & Co and will result in the reunion of Trevor Sexty and the BG Postle business, whose late owner previously worked with Mr Sexty at WJ Hayden & Co in 1952.
"The team at BG Postle are highly experienced, reliable and respected by their clients - and, of course, we know them well because we have always worked under the same roof," said Ian Barlow, a partner with Sexty & Co.
Mr Cox added that he is "really pleased that Sexty and Postle, two such highly regarded names, are coming together again after so many years".
WJ Hayden & Co was separated into different practices in 1964.
