East Devon College to offer new accountancy course

East Devon College is to start teaching a fast-track accountancy course in 2008, it has emerged.
According to reports by the Exeter Express & Echo, the accountancy course offered by the college will run from January to June 2008.
Following the completion of the course, students may continue their studies with the next level of the programme, which continues in September 2008.
"The final stage of the Accounting Technician course is a testing time for students, with four exams to pass, a portfolio to compete and a 4,000-word report to write," said Karen Kenny, programme leader at the college.
Located in Tiverton, East Devon College also offers an AS/A2 level qualification in Accounts, which can be completed over a two-year period.
The course can be studied either full or part-time.
