The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) has announced the latest ACA qualification results for those in accountancy jobs.
According to the organisation, the pass rates for the November 2007 sitting of the advanced stage exams were 80.8 per cent for the business environment module and 79.2 per cent for the business life cycle section.
Some 79.9 per cent passed the advanced case study exam, the institute also revealed.
Past students who went on to get accountancy jobs learned some of their most vital skills at this stage of their education, the ICAEW said, citing the career benchmarking survey of ICAEW members in business.
The aforementioned survey apparently showed that people with the ACA qualification considered commercial skills, communication skills and technical ability as the three most important qualities for people to successfully fill a role such as theirs.
Programmes run by the ICAEW which lead to the ACA qualification are currently run in China, the Gulf, India, Cyprus, Pakistan, Malaysia and Russia, as well as the UK.
