People working in marketing jobs may be interested to hear of the new service offered by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), which offers people the chance to get professional qualifications in their field.
Instead of just allowing people to register in September, the group is now allowing people to start courses in January as well.
Saying how this will help those in marketing jobs, spokesman Keith Fletcher said: "With competition in the profession hotting up, every marketer - whatever their age - needs to demonstrate a thorough and up-to-date understanding of their role.
"And we have recognised this by giving them the study options that suit them."
According to CIM's research, of the people who have marketing jobs, 63 per cent believe internet learning is a useful medium for their further education.
Qualifications currently offered by the body include Introductory and Professional marketing certificates and graduate and post-graduate marketing diplomas.
