New advice offered on combating work-related stress

New advice has been offered on strategies that can be implemented as a way to reduce workplace-induced feelings of stress, it has emerged.
According to a report by the Seattle Times, a number of different strategies can be adopted, starting with postural changes.
The publication recommends that individuals not only obtain a footrest, but also elevate their computer monitors and lower the level of their keyboards.
"If you work eight hours a day, that equates to a third of your total life," said Pedram Shojai, president of Vitality Health & Wellness in Irvine, California.
"That's too much time to blunder away by being unhealthy, unhappy and unfit," he added.
Mr Shojai is also a licensed practitioner of acupuncture, a technique which can be used to treat a number of different ailments, including constipation and constant hiccupping.
Other recommendations include eating healthily during working hours, in addition consuming snacks regarded as beneficial.
