Accountancy firm 'to target SMEs'

3 January 2008 15:58

A new firm of specialist accountants has opened in Wales, it has emerged.

The newly-created Cardiff-based firm has been formed to specialise in servicing the needs of small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), reports the Western Mail.

SMEs can also be known as small to medium-sized businesses.

The recently-established firm has taken the name Client Accountancy Service (CAS).

"All too often, accountancy practices take a reactive approach to accounting. They don't challenge established facts but simply process the information they are given by the client," said Naomi Stringer, a senior accountant with CAS.

"We want to provide added value to our clients by actively challenging the information provided," she added.

The firm believes it will be able to double the size of its workforce from six to 12 over a period of 12 months, in addition to increasing its customer base to 160 clients.
