Scout leader appointed to accountancy firm

A scout leader has been appointed at an accountancy firm in Stockport, it has emerged.

According to reports by the Southport Visitor, the Southport-based individual has been appointed to the firm Topping and Company.

Robert Uffendell, who is also a school governor, possesses over 20 years of experience in the field of accountancy.

"In these times of rapidly changing tax legislation it is important that we constantly review our own circumstances," said Janet Topping, owner of Topping and Company.

"Robert's appointment reinforces our continued commitment to providing timely and relevant advice and support to all our clients."

Mr Uffendell is currently one of the governors at Woodlands Primary School, a facility based in Formby.

Southport can be found within Merseyside and is a coastal resort overlooking the Irish Sea.

A number of famous individuals have started life in Southport, including Marc Almond of Soft Cell and the actress Miranda Richardson.
