File-sharing is 'key' to workplace happiness

Happiness in the workplace is linked with the ability to locate important files, it has been claimed.
According to data released by Tower Software has found that when it becomes impossible to locate data in the form of emails, documents and other files, it can result in arguments, stress - and even poor relations between colleagues.
Tower Software has published its findings in a report, dubbed Document Mayhem in the UK and Republic of Ireland.
"Almost half (43 per cent) of middle managers and 48 per cent of junior managers have had to phone a colleague, customer or supplier to ask them to send a copy of a document or email because they could not find it on their computer system," said David Oates, vice president for Tower Software.
The study was conducted for Tower Software by UK-based consultancy firm Dynamic Markets.
