DWP report employment growth

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has reported growth in employment levels for those between the ages of 16 and 24.
Figures highlighted by the DWP show that for those between the ages of 16 and 24, employment levels have increased by 60,000 between September and November 2007.
"The opportunities exist for people to make the most of their skills and talents," said Caroline Flint, minister for employment.
"We are determined to do more through our comprehensive welfare reform programme and the rollout of local employment partnerships to help ensure everyone gets the chance they deserve."
The organisation has also presented data showing that workplace numbers, for those over the age of 50, has increased by 95,000 over the same period.
Moreover, according to the DWP - an organisation established in 2001 - the UK's current rate of employment is 74.7 per cent.
