Sales professionals 'would promote marketing jobs to youngsters'

A new survey has revealed the vast majority of employees in marketing jobs would recommend the sector as an excellent first career choice.
Conducted by sales advice website SalesDog.com, the survey found 83 per cent of respondents would advise young people to consider marketing jobs.
Marketing recruitment benefits listed by the website that may appeal to young people include the high earning potential, ability to make a difference and the independence marketing jobs can offer their employees.
However, when asked if their company provided a comprehensive training programme for the job, 52 per cent of those surveyed replied 'no', while 58 per cent agreed with the statement that marketing jobs could be stressful.
SalesDog.com is resource site used by tens of thousands of sales and marketing industry professional, according to its website.
Their online survey was completed by 2,104 participants over 10 days.
