Stephen Gallagher recruited by KPMG

Stephen Gallagher, a former employee of Accenture, has been appointed to a new post with one of the Big Four professional services and accountancy firms, KPMG.
Formerly the leader of European business intelligence practice at Accenture, Mr Gallagher has joined KPMG Forensic as a member of the company's forensic intelligence unit.
According to Adam Bates, the worldwide chairman of KPMG Forensic, forensic technology is a significant tool in the war against fraudulent activity.
In previous years, Mr Gallagher was an employee of KPMG Consulting, where he was a member of the company's practice for business intelligence.
"There has been a dramatic increase in the importance of analytics to addressing many business issues and it has become more central to many companies' overall business strategies," said Mr Gallagher.
And, prior to working for Accenture, Mr Gallagher was employed by IBM Global Services.
The other members of the Big Four are Ernst & Young, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu.
