Acas 'exceeds tribunal claims targets'

London recruiters may be interested in the news that Acas, has exceeded its performance targets for the year.
In total, 81 per cent of workplaces reported an improvement in employment relations after work from Acas advisers, despite a 24.9 per cent rise in claims passed to the body for conciliation.
Furthermore, the employment relations service said it had succeeded in reducing the potential workload of employment tribunals by 75 per cent.
Ed Sweeney, chair of the body, said: "Acas has continued to play a central role in the employment relations arena not only in resolving disputes but also in providing valuable advice and guidance to employers and employees."
He added that the latest figures from its annual report speak for themselves.
The goal of Acas is to enhance employment relations as a means of improving organisations and working life, which can help those with
jobs in tax and other spheres.
